I live in Geauga County, Ohio, USA. It is snowing now with about 6 inches already on the ground. Our snow is a result of the "Lake Erie effect", warm air passes south over Lake Erie, picks up moisture from the warm lake, cools, and falls on us as snow.

I'm in Columbus, OH. There was a little snow yesterday, but it wasn't cold enough to stay on the ground for long. There might be some more today.

I'm just north of London. We may see a day or so of snow around late January or February.

It doesn't snow in Domican Republic. Right now it's the coldest it'll be in the whole year: 23 Celsius, not so cold for you.
