yes there is, but it's not the controversial "fiction" that the author has blended in with his "research".
for example, yes it was Leonardo Da Vinci who painted the Mona Lisa.
A lot of the allegations have already been disproved by historians, art experts.

The Da Vinci code was written based on theories about Jesus and Mary. There is evidence of a relationship in writings. Also, the church has been known to cover up a great many things that they don't want known or widely beleived, so it is entirely possible that this is a truth. However, they aren't likely to tell the world. If they've kept quiet all these years they probably think they have a good reason.

The DeVinci Code is a fictional book based on several rumors.
There is a great special on it that is running on the History Channel that really looks at the facts to find most of it to be fiction.
Many would like Jesus to have been more " Human" and by making him married it would somehow deem him more "real" and less "spiritual". IT is not true, although one must remember that the Bible is not all inclusive and it was voted on as too what books would be included and which ones would not be included, but a group who knew they could control what people thought by controlling what went into the Bible and this had caused concern among many that perhaps there was some " human" interference as to what wound up being in there and what was "Cut" on the editing room floor... perhaps something that would make us all believe that Jesus was indeed more human than we wanted him portrayed as or not? The Book is Fiction, but is it based on some truth?

That is a question I've been hearing a lot.
I know a variety of people agree and disagree on the truth about the Da Vinci code. I think you should know that the book is FICTIONAL made from the creativity and imagination of a man's mind. He may say it's true but authors with this much research on real-life can say their book is real but actually isn't. I asked my brother and he says the book is GREAT but still isn't a factual researched novel.
Just remember, no one said in the preview "Based on a TRUE researched story..." or anything like that so if it were real then they would say it. Think, Jesus is God's son and can't be married for his destiny was to live, heal and die for us...God never said anything about his holy son destined to be married.
I don't mind if you believe but remember not to change the faith of our Christian Community who is serious in this situation.

The De Vinci code is just a story . Many people think parts of it may be true , but they can never find conclusive proof . The only true part that I know is true , is that Jesus is real .

No...there's no truth to that....some people did a study on that and proved that everything was bogus...they even said that Da Vinci didn't have any code...Dan Brown had a code....so don't believe any of that fiction....Ã
