Ok I will make this clear right from the get-go! I don't want SPAMMERS, or ANYONE trying to sell Bare Minerals in answers. I want people who use it first hand and I want honest opinions on it. I am really considering it because I have horrible, painful cystic acne and refuse to put any sort of foundation on right now because it is probably doing me worse in the long-run. If you bought it too, but hated it, don't be afraid to answer. I would be getting the medium tone because I have olive skin...so any feedback would be great. If anyone answers as a "Bare Minerals Consultant" or tries to sell to me, I will report abuse. I just want some feedback :) Thanks ladies!

Oohh, you poor thing! I tried Bare Minerals awhile back and it is very very light on your skin and will feel very different from liquid or creme makeup. The only issue I had with it was similar to one of the Answers posted; it did make my skin look really shiny, and I like a matte finish with my makeup so it was not what I expected. Also, I'm very fair, and the powders in the fair category were actually too dark for me, which is a very common problem for us fair girls. But you're a medium so this probably wouldn't be an issue for you. Your best bet is to just try it and see if it works for you. They have a money-back guarantee, so if it doesn't work or live up to your standards, you're not stuck with unusuable makeup like you would be if you bought from the store. Best of luck to you!

I love it, but you really have to learn to use it. If you put too much on at once it will look cakey and settle into lines. The trick is to use light layers until you get the look you like. When the say buff buff buff, they mean it. I find it better to pre-conceal any redness with either the well rested that comes in the starter kit or bisque then put the foundation over it. Sometimes I need to do a little post conceal too if I have a problem area at the time. Since I have been using it I have had less skin problems, I had even stopped wearing make-up because it made me itch and get terrible rashes. I did compare the different mineral make-ups and the ingredient list on bare minerals was the shortest. It seems gentle to my skin. I recommend you get the starter kit like the one on TV since it comes with a few brushes then buff away. Good Luck!

Honestly, Bare Minerals is AMAZING. I know its a little higher in the price end, but it's totally worth it. Before, I used cover girl liquid-foundation and I never knew that was the reason my skin was always so oily and acne prone. Honest to God since I began BM only about 2 weeks ago, I have not a pimple on my skin. Also, it provides great (really amazing) coverage and lasts longer. I also use medium tone and it looks flawless! Good luck hun!!

I've been using Bare Minerals for about 3 months, and I LOVE it! I personally don't have bad acne....just the occasional pimple or two. I just started using it because I didn't like the make-up.."cake-up" look. So, i looove it. It's very light, and it REALLY feels like you have nothing on, and it IS very good for your skin. I will never go back to a liquid foundation, or any other kind of foundation for that matter. I love it, and it's everything that the infomercials says it is! You should give it a try! I'm sure you'd love it! Good luck! =]

Hi, don't worry I'm not going to spam you! I don't have a ton of experience with it, but my mom loves it and I have tried it a couple times...I think it is awesome. It provides great coverage, it's really light (not like liquid foundation) and I think it's pretty natural looking. I don't usually wear any face makeup because it feels cakey but if I were to start wearing face makeup, I would definitely buy the Bare Minerals stuff. I'm not sure how expensive it is, but I would recommend it! Hope that helps!

I bought it to cover up some acne scars too, and it doesn't offer the coverage that they say it will. The starter kit I bought came with three types of brushes. I used the kabuki brush and that small one to spot cover and have a thicker coverage on my face, and I end up just looking cakey (I have oily skin), and do end up getting the makeup line because it caked. The makeup does stay on your face for most of the day, but that is only if you don't touch your face. If you happen to brush against your clothing with it, like if you're wearing a turtle neck, the makeup with get on your clothes and it's hard to wash out.
It seems like most people have had a good experience with this, so maybe it's just me. But, I wouldn't recommend it.

I bought Bare Minerals and have been very pleased with it. I could and would never go back to regular foundation. I highly recommend you get it but make sure you watch the dvd to learn to apply it properly. It's a great concealer, and looks very natural.

I've tried Bare Minerals, but I ended up going back to MAC products, then I found something else...Katie B Cosmetics. She is new, but a very good make-up artist. I've tried her mascara (truly waterproof), eyeliner, mineral foundation (love it!). So you many want to take a look at other comments on her page about her products.

Bare Minerals is ok. It's better than alot of other foundations but it has the tendency to make your face shiny in the weird, plasticky sort of way. Especially if you have tanned skin. I have used Med. Tan and the darker the range, the weirder looking it gets. However, I really love their Glimmer shadows.
