I've had a few....2 of which I should have died.
1) When I was a baby I choked on some interior trim of the car my mom was driving. She panicked and stopped right in the middle of the freeway, jumped out of the car hoping to try to remove the trim piece. In the car behind her was a doctor who saw how frantic she was so he came with his doctor's bag to the rescue. The doctor managed to remove the trim from my throat. After that my mom ripped the rest of the trim from that door and put it in the trunk. If the doctor hadn't been there I would have died.

2) Several years ago I almost died from a kidney infection. It started out with me shaking violently..so bad I couldn't walk on my own. I was 100 miles from home attending junior college in a town that had no hospital. My parents had to come get me in the middle of the night to get me to emergency at the nearest hospital. When I was checked in my fever was already at 104 and they couldn't figure what was wrong so I was admitted. The nurses were frightened because the fever was out of control..no amount the standard anti-fever medicines would work. They were frantic trying to figure out how to stop my fever. In the meantime my mom had me the tub/shower putting ice water on me. That made the nurses mad because "you're not supposed to do that without a doctor's order" ...then one nurse remembered the cooling blanket (for burn victims) that they had put into the trash room earlier that day. She grabbed it just as it was about to be loaded into the trash truck. That blanket was COOOLD, never been so cold in my life. The water in that blanket was about 55 deg F. ...and I only had a thin towel between me & the blanket. Anyways...despite the blanket my fever continued rising....up to 106.9 and then it started dropping back off. After I started recovering I was told by the nurses that if my fever had gone any higher I would have died and that the blanket was the only thing they could find to slow it down.

I don't believe in coincedences. I do believe however in a loving God who is always watching over us. He is the one who made sure the doctor was there behind my mom and also made sure the nurse found the cooling blanket.

I have been blessed with 6 miracles:
5 of them are my children, born in perfect health
the 6th is that I met my soulmate.
Love is the miracle that I am blessed with on a daily basis; and I only wish others in the world were as lucky as I know I am.
