Why does my nephew have crying spells? At times all he does is cry, I tried everything! He's to young to be getting his teeth. When he starts crying my daughter starts and it drives me nuts, because when I'm home alone it's when it's the worst, but the moment my boyfriend walks in it doesn't last as long, ten minutes at the most. They hardly ever cry for my boyfriend, they useally cry for me. So why are they crying like this? I need help big time!

There is no age thats too young to teeth. Some babies are born with teeth and others start teething at only a few weeks old. There is no set month for growing teeth.

When one baby cries, any other babies around them will cry as well, which only encourages the first baby to cry more, and then the others to cry more. Its a cycle. Your boyfriend is a new excting face and someone they dont see as often, so it distracts them.

When They start crying next time, turn on some music, pull out a bright flashy toy, sing and dance with them a little, just something to distract them.

It could be the nephew has colic, is bored, or otherwise not content. just run through the checklist and make sure every need is met, after that, just stimulate him with interesting activity.

Also, month 2 and even 3 tend to be the fussiest months of a baby's life. They out grow it.

How do you know he is not teething? My daughter started at 8 weeks and had 2 teeth at 10 weeks. It could also be he in unhappy for some reason or you are not meeting his needs.

Kids, like animals, are attuned to your moods. If you are cranky they probably will be cranky too. When your boyfriend comes over you are happy and then they become happy.

It sounds to me like you are stressed. Find some way to get away for some "me" time.

sometimes its collick, sometimes teething, others it's how you react to them. Sometimes...you just need to let them cry. If they cry and are used to you running right to them, it becomes almost a game.
