Strikes me you've got a condensation problem in your bathroom, so the mould will grow back regardless.

You can buy mould and mildew removers at the supermarket, but you should consider sorting out the condensation/ventilation issue for a long term solution.

At the very least, leave the bathroom window and door open for a while to let the moisture disperse after you have a bath or shower.

Bleach is the best thing for mould as it places a kind of barrier there to keep it away - put it on neat and leave for a while - wipe with a cloth or sponge - for hard bits use an old toothbrush - i run a letting agency and advise all my tenanst of this - the mold forms because there is not enough air circulating in the room and there is no where for steam to escape - best ting is to open window after a bath / shower, never dry clothes on radiuators and wipe down regulary

I had a shower that did that. I believe it was because there was no ventilation in that bathroom. I kept a spray bottle of 1/4 c. bleach and filled with water behind the toilet and every time I got out of the shower I sprayed down the shower with the bleach/water mixture. Mold...gone. Of course, you have to regularly and thoroughly clean that tub/shower with all your regular cleaning solutions, but if after every shower/bath you spray it, the mold/mildew will go bye, bye.

Did you see all of the bleach being unloaded from trucks after hurricane Katrina, when some started clean-up? There is a reason for that. Bleach kills bacteria.

I was renting, so it wasn't feasible for me to re-caulk or put in new bathroom-grade walls. Although I did notify the absentee landlord of the problem.

Why don't you remove the sealant completely, buy some white plastic quadrant shaped double glazing strips and fix them around the bath instead? Problem gone forever, voila! If you want to keep to the sealant use sugar soap to clean it.

The only stuff I found which worked is HG Hagesan Mould Spray, made in Holland, though I got mine at a local hardware/DIY shop in the UK.

You have to get rid of the old tub caulk, use bleach to kill the mold and mildew, wash very very good and then reapply tub caulk. Bathroom silicone caulk is the best. It has a mold and mildew preventer i it.
