Mom charged with baby's microwave death
POSTED: 11:58 p.m. EST, November 28, 2006
http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/11/28/baby.microwave.ap/index.html
I was watching Nancy Grace talking about this the other night...I was curious what evidence they had that the mom did it- considering there were others in the house and she didn't appear to have a motive
Could a person sleep so soundly that when they heard the baby crying, they went to warm a bottle in the microwave and put the baby in there instead? No mention was made as to whether there was a bottle near the microwave.
This is such a sickening story...but somehow, I think if she did do this, she may have been asleep!

If it was found to be done intentionally, I would suspect the dad, as he was involved in prior domestic issues...and believe it or not, some people have been found not guilty of murder for reason they were asleep! Its rare, but because it can happen, I think it should be considered at least http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4362081.stm

Not all of the facts in this story were given...If they have something on the mom, they are saving it for court

I watched that, too. A couple of years back there was a similar incident but the woman had siezures and was dissociated when she did it. Maybe this woman has the same issue is all I can think because very few mothers would vengefully or maliciously kill her kids.

Wow! Didn't hear about that. It is just hard to believe that a parent of all ppl could sleep through microwaving their own infant. Even when working 72 plus hours a week, and sometimes going two or three days without sleep, I know I couldn't do such a thing. At my most tired I can snap back in a second the moment one of my children cries.

This story pisses me off to no end. As a mother, i can assure anyone that no matter how tired i was, I would know if i had my child in my arms...a baby feels ALOT different than a bottle. She would of had to literally stuff the baby in there. She knew what she was doing and I hope the monster ***** burns in hell. I don't see how anyone could do that to an innocent little child. I mean that's seriously sick, and she's trying to blame it on the babysitter? was the babysitter ever questioned?? I have 3 kids 4, 3 and 2yrs old and Ive suffered through severe post partum psychosis (the worst form of post partum depression) and i NEVER would of thought something as horrible as this. What the f.u.c.k is wrong with people?!?

Come on. How can you mistake a BABY for a BOTTLE, no matter HOW sleepy you are! If she didn't do it, someone did and they knew exactly what they were doing. And if they didn't, then they were mentally incapacitated at the time andneed serious, professional help, and a LONG stay in a psych ward.

This is terrible, horrible, disgusting and sickening. When are our kids going to stop paying for the sickness, evil and abuse of the very people who are supposed to love and protect them?

I heard on one of the news channels that the pattern of burns on the babies skin was from a microwave. This is probably the worst thing I' ve heard of. I hope nobody tops that. Sick, Sick world

Wow, I just read the article. Unbelievable. That was so sad. I do not think that a mother would sleep so soundful that she would stick her own flesh and blood in a microwave. That is no excuse. I am sorry, but when it comes to my daughters, I am like a prowling lion watching over them. I am always alert when it comes to them. This truly was a sickening crime. Thanks for sharing this. Thumbs up to you!

Yeah, I did. Apparently there have been a lot of cases like that, where the mom microwaves the kid.
