I have no idea what to give my husband for Christmas this year. He is an avid outdoorsman and loves hunting and fishing, but I have done the whole gun/fishing pole/camoflauge, etc. in years past. So, I do not want to go that route. He is really not into high tech stuff, so that is kind of out. Does anyone have any good ideas? I really have NO idea.

A deer stand, a night scope, thermal underwear, thermal socks, a new hunting knife, a GPS so he won't get lost in the woods, or a nice overnight camping set, with tent, back pack, cooking set with waterproof matches, and food storage hangup bags, and a tent heater. With out knowing him personally I would not have any idea what to suggest other than maybe some nice pants and shirt, under garments, socks, jewelry of some nature, a bath robe, or pajamas. Good luck.

Well, start by thinking of everything that you know about hubby. Is he a handyman at home? Sears has just put out a very nice new drill motor that lets you secure, and release, drill bits and other attachments with a button . This is neat-o. Does he like really nice winter chunky sweaters. Is he into anything to do with gardening? Does he like to tinker with his vehicle? What about a reeeeally nice wallet and matching belt? Snazzy briefcase to put all his paperwork.? Supernice elecrtric razor? Dressing gown and slippers? Think about his behaviours and movements throughout the day. and anything associated with those activities that would make them go with a bit more zing. or convenience. I could probably go on and on, but you get the general idea. Good luck.

How about a paid weekend to his favorite fishing hole. I don't know where you live but around here Santee Cooper is a great place to go fishing and you can hire a guide to take you out on a boat to the best fishing spots. Some huge catfish has came out of there. I am sure if you don't live in the vicinity of Santee Cooper there are other spots similar to this.

I bought my dad a five-gallon bucket. I bought him hand-warmers, good socks, a thermometer that clipped to his jacket zipper, a new flashlight, a couple CDs, and some other miscellaneous. I found through the Duluth Trading Company (in Minnesota) a five-gallon bucket topper that made it a seat that turned.

It ended up being a good collection of stuff he enjoyed.

Another thought... if he has a favorite movie, try to find a piece of memoribilia from it. Ebay always has that kind of stuff...

Good luck!

Well maybe when he goes hiking, camping or fishing he can have a nice IPOD or MP3 player to listen with all his favorite music...he'll liek it cuz its compact and won't get in the way and it will be extra entertainment for him while he's outdoors

You must be married to my husband! This year I got him a mug with a picture of three of his favorite hunting dogs on it. Since he also rides horses (occasionally) I also got him a tie with a picture of him and one of his horses on it. Go to snapfish.com for ideas here.

Good luck. I also got my hubbie a pair of ostrich boots and a shotgun he said he wanted, but I got lucky this year with these.
