meaning they share a placenta, not miscarried?

I have identical twins so I have done some reading on the topic. Either type of twin can be miscarried.

I say this because identical twins are from ONE egg that has split. They can implant anywhere just like fraternal twins seperate eggs.

Edited to add: I understand what you mean now with your additional info. Off the top of my head, they are not necessarily identical. My boys were in seperate sacks and (possibly) two placentas. The doctor couldn't tell from u/s or at delivery so we had to do genetics testing. They were found to be identical. There are so many factors with twins it is so hard to understand.
