A team of Russian scientists at one time had the solution.
They made a virus that attack the ovum in the women of child bearing age. It weakened the outter membrane to the point that when the sperm penetrated it, it burst open. Which happens sometimes naturally in some women. Didn 't effect anyone else but the women and so they thought this would be a perfect virus to limit familys, but found out that even though it might not effect everyone, everyone could be a carrier of the disease.
They come to realize that if everyone got the disease that no more babies could be born. It wouldn't cause a panic, because no one got sick and no one died. But no one would get pregnant either. In 20 years there would be no more children, in 40 years you would either be middle aged or a senior citizen.
In 120 years it would by this time infect everyone and only a handful of people would be left.

My-my-my! Aren't you simply filled with surprises? This was once greater than any fabric I've learn or heard in fairly a while. And the originality is incredibly fine. You are without doubt capable with a multifaceted, omnidirectional skillability from past this international. I'm nonetheless cracking up. You have a profession as a author...your brain is totally superb.

If I was God, I wouldn't end the world; the world is fine as it is.

It's the inhabitants, of the highest order, that need to be considered for eradication. Keep the planet, keep the animals except humans, and Earth would be a much pleasanter (sic) place.

hydrogen bombs have essentially unlimited power.

Build one the size of a supertanker or aircraft carrier.
This would be technically feasible although it would cost a lot.
I believe it would be within the reach of rich countries.
I estimate the resulting bomb would have
a total weapon yield of about 100 gigatons.
It would produce a crater of order 200 miles in diameter.
The nuclear winter side effects would probably be enough to kill
all humans. Especially if you seed it with lots of cobalt
just for extra nastiness.

This would not "end the world", but it is close enough
for most purposes, don't you think?
(And who needs God?)

A Gamma Ray Burst within 50 light years would kill us off rather quickly.

Nah. Why waste the energy when you could be watching Jerry Springer or Seinfeld re-runs?

Just let it keep going the way it is ☺

hmm

if i was God, i wouldn't need to do a thing. Id just let one of those mad scientists that love to mess with things biological succeed, and his work would do mine for me.

In short, a 100% virulent disease spread through inhalation. breed it so there's no chance for anyone human to survive it.
