Just remember they may be "baby names" now but soon they'll be "teenage names" that kids can easily make fun of and then "adult names" that have to get them recognised and respected in their careers. Make sure there is no aspect of the name that will embarrass the child for life.

Also ( Someone has already said this) but it is best not to complicate the spelling.

My name is Keely.. fairly simple and original but I even have people asking me if I've spelt my own name correctly simply because it doesn't have a third 'e' in it!! (Keeley).

And the amount of times I am called Kelly or Kylie or Kirsty.. just because people can't be bothered to listen or read it properly... very frustrating..

Wow, what a bunch of interesting suggestions! My sister went to the web site for social security. They have tracked baby names so you can see what is popular right now or what was popular in the passed years. We found out that my name, Dawn, was in the middle of the list for 1966 when I was born but in 1972 when I was five and got to name my sister, somehow I picked the #1 most popular for the year. Best wishes to you and your baby, whatever you decide on the name!

As the recipient of an unusual name I would advise you to stick with a "normal" name. Each time I have to give my name for any reason I end up having to repeat it 2 or 3 times and spell it several times before people get it. What a hassle! Before people name their children they should think of the long term impact that will have. Sure Jaeden sounds cute but nobody is going to just spell it correctly without him telling them how to spell it. Just think it all out first.

I am due on Saturday and if I have a girl if will be Saoirse (Seer-sha), it's the Irish for freedom or liberty - it can be for a boy too but it's more commonly used for girls.
Nia for a girl is nice too - it's Welsh and a good variation on the increasingly popular Mia.
