are the 'black irish' considered white???

i no they aint black lol they have darker hair and all that but are they considered white because they wernt one time,

Yes, they're considered white. They're just darker haired and dark-eyed... they weren't once, but over time they've become white.

The "Black Irish" are typically Spanish/Jews that were booted out of western Europe and sent to Ireland in early times[middle ages and prior]. Unfortunately,Ireland was often used as a dumping ground for Europe's "undesireables". These people would usually intermarry with the Irish natives and change their surnames to celtic names.
This is part of the reason there are many dark eyed and very dark haired Irish.So,yes.the Black Irish are white in race,but dark in features. Hope that helps.

Well I can tell you now, Karen is wrong and what professor?. The Black Irish has only dark eyes and hair not skin. Ireland was invaded by the Moore's in the 1500's, they were black but not from Africa. Thus thats why you see those good looking dark haired Irish!!

Black irish is actually a term for irish that are protestans not catholics, they are not actually black, my great grandmother and her 2 sisters got sent to an orphanage in manhattan (there mother died) but no other family member would take them because they were half catholic irish and half black irish (protestan) thats how different society was back then!
