OK, THIS IS GROSS. I BOUGHT A BAG OF PALMERS CHOCOLATES. THE X-MAS ONES. I HAVE BEEN EATING THEM ALL WEEK. WELL THIS MORNIG I CRACKED ONE OPEN AND FOUND A TINY MAGOT INSIDE OF IT. I HAVE BEEN PUKING ALL MORNING. I FEEL REALLY SICK. I HAVE CONTACTED THE LOCAL NEWS STATIONS. I HAVE EMAILED THE COMPANY. BUT THEY OFFER NO PHONE NUMBER TO CONTACT THEM. IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT PLMERS CHOCOLATES CORP. INFO LET ME KNOW. DO U THINK I COULD SUE THEM FOR THIS?

The answer is yes, you do have a potential claim for a lawsuit. You need to contact an attorney to discuss it further with him. Applying the facts to the protections of the law would certainly lend itself to a suit.

Are you vomiting at the thought that you might have eaten a magot, since obviously there was nothing wrong with the other chocolates you ate. Or you would have tasted something bad. I also don't feel you have a lawsuit, because the magot could have been planted in the chocolate by you.

I'm guessing your puking and feeling really sick is much more due to the fact that you discovered a maggot in one rather than the product itself making you ill. Have you contacted the actual store where you purchased the chocolates...I'm sure they'd be able to find some contact information for you. Did you check the 'sell by' date when you purchased them. I think it'd be more time and money than it's worth to sue them.

Depends on your state for a law suit and chocolates fall under food products that DO go bad.

Barring a lawsuit, return the chocolates to the place where purchased and inform them they are selling outdated chocolates.

Look for an expiration/sell by date on the bag.

I just went to their website ( http://www.rmpalmer.com/contactus.asp) and they have a contact number listed, you might want to try there first

Good luck and that sucks!

for less things than this. it sounds like you have a good
case, if you can afford to get a good laywer. good luck
