What is the deal with this guy? Who wouldn't kill to has his fame and fortune?

Is he still in Africa?
Does he have any plans to do more comedy?

I would tell him "have no regrets, and to remember Bill Hicks(a comedian who is ledgend but died before his time)"
What would you ask him and where is he?

" Damn you're funny Dave!"
He just needs time to gather more funny stuff. This guy is RARE and has a real talent of communication! The powers that be are desperate to get their contracts signed by this guy. He's wise enough to keep his talents in HIS pocket, and not let the cooperate giants use him up for their profit.
Dave has a unique view on life and it requires time to just be himself so he can recharge and share those unique insights into the human condition that everyone of us shares! He's organic comedy and not synthetic. Organic has to be nurtured and kept safe from 'rabbits in the garden'. Be Patient, he'll be back and you'll laugh your *** off again with the rest of us.

Good question.

I would tell him to stay strong, don't let the industry crush him and be true to self. Also to take as much time as he needs to get himself where he wants and needs to be. Also to stop using the N word.

I think he is back in the states and I do think he plans on more comedy. NOt sure if he will stick with comedy central though.

From what I've read, he felt that he was becoming a tool of the entertainment industry and that they were dictating what he should do/say. He was also worried that he was becoming the joke (I'm Rick James b----!, etc.) instead of people really listening to what his jokes were trying to illustrate (our prejudices). Last I heard he was on his farm in Ohio. I'd tell him to come back when he's ready.

I would ask him what is wrong, and how can I help him. Obviously something bad happened, or he just got burned out. I'd ask him if he needed a hug.
