Seems like my wife has been less than toughtful on our anniversary, again! Not even a card. Is this normal in a marriage?
Or does she not care? I have never forgotten, she always gets flowers, plus a gift and dinner. After dinner she would show me how thankful she was when we got home. I was feeling good about the evening, but when we got home she fell asleep with the children. I know was tired, but it was our anniversary. No sex, no gift, no card? What is going on?

Hey tell her to wake up- its much better to give than to receive, and healthy marriage is a 50/50 deal.
Hope things work out for the both of you.
TALK IT OUT, DON'T STAY WITH THAT FEELING AND QUESTIONS BOTTLED UP.

because your a male it doesnt mean to say you dont like receiving gifts everyone does male and female.maybe you should sit you wife down and ask her whats going on and why she doesnt bother anymore,it could be shes stressed out and tired with running around after the children as they can be hard work, and as for whats normal in a marriage who knows everyones marriage is different, but ive been with my husband 15 years and i always remember anniversarys my husband would be a bit upset if ididnt, its nice to make the effort it shows the other person that you still love and care for them enough to remember, though at the end of the day the only person who can really give you an answer to your question is you wife, you have to sit down and talk to her and tell her you need some answers and some reassurance that she still loves you (good luck)

My husband and I acknowledge our anniversary by making our own cards and talking to each other. We can never afford to go out to eat or buy gifts. (Besides he's the only one that works so I feel odd buying him a gift with his money).. maybe she was brought up that way. My parents never acknowledge their anniversary and they have been married over 30 yrs. But that's just them. Talk to your wife and tell her how it makes you feel. Maybe she's just unaware.

Sounds like she just doesn't care about you or the anniversary...

Perhaps she is more bothered about the kids... Time to have a heart to heart and find out what the problem is with the marriage... Or have an affair... :D

I give my husband a gift on our anniversary every year. I also give him a gift on birthdays and every special occasion.

I would very nicely remind her that you have needs too and she needs to be sensitive to them. I think it is so easy to fall onto the "lull" of marriage and sometimes one needs to be reminded that marriage takes WORK! You must work at it! (I am saying that to her, not you.) Good Luck!
