so i entered twice. my sys got restared.after scanning disc was running.it asked some b4 i read it again restrted.after that it say ntfs.sys corrupetd.i tried to reinstall winxp.it not allowed me. in evening i tried again it allowed n i formated c drive, n installed. while installin after askin system name ..time and all....blue scrren came n sayd ntfs.sys corrupeted,...
any way to format n restallin the OS???

i tried u r way... while repairinng... in the halfway it says ntfs.sys corrupted

based on your grasp of the English language I am going ot guess you know nothing about computers... did you do this from a school computer?

And this is the reason you shouldn't visit illegal sites like those you mentioned.
You're best bet is to wipe the PC completely. You do this by:
1. Place your Windows CD in the CD drive
2. Restart your PC and watch the screen
3. A prompt will appear saying "Press any key to boot from CD". If it doesn't you'll need to adjust your boot order in your BIOS.
4. Follow the on screen instructions until you get asked what you want to do.
5. Select to do a fresh install of Windows
6. You should be asked on what partition you want to create Windows. Delete ALL the partitions that are there then create a new one. Format this partition as NTFS - but DON'T use the "quick" method. Use the long method.
7. Continue to install Windows as usual.

Do you even know what reformat means? Or is it s word you heard and you think that is the end-all-be-all of computers?
Do not format unless you ABSOLUTELY have to.
You can reinstall the OS without formatting. You need your OS Cd and CD Key.
Boot to your CD, then on the first screen select Install Windows XP.
Then on the next screen it will find your Existing installation and ask you what you want to do. At that point, choose Repair.
Your other option is to try to boot to Safe mode if you can and do a System restore.
You obviously got infected with something when you were trying to get some crack(ILLEGAL)
Sucks doesn't it? You get what you pay for.

If u are not able to format and install using Win XP installation cd,and if you are not bothered about the total data loss on your hard disk,i mean TOTAL DATA LOSS
1.Go to websit of the manufacturer of your hard disk-seagate or samsung whatever it may be.They provide tools to format the HDD.Download it,make bootable CD or FDD from it,and perform full format on your HDD.All information is provided on the site.Just read it carefully.YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR DATA AFTR YOU FORMAT THE HDD using those software.
2.Example: Seagate provides software "DiskWizard Starter Edition".Download appropriate version of this software-for bootable FDD or bootable CD,create the FDD/CD,boot through it and format.
