if lynd's boyfriend was kidnapped b4 the poker match, then bond haven won money from chiffre yet. so whats the point of chiffre kidnapping lynd's boyfriend when he hasn't lost any money to bond yet?? is it that chiffre is predicting that he is gonna lose $ to bond???

Vesper's boyfriend was kidnapped before the poker match. We know this because M tells Bond near the end of the film that the secret service should have picked up on it before assigning Vesper to the case with Bond.
The message on Vesper's phone just before the last scene was Mr. White's name and phone number. Vesper left it for Bond because she was going to commit suicide and she knew he would check her belongings and follow through.
For those who question how I know Vesper was going to kill herself no matter what happened, you have to read the book. Although she obviously loved her boyfriend, whom she supposedly saved, she had fallen in love with Bond. She couldn't live with herself for betraying Bond and her country.

She left the mobile phone intentionally as a way of saying that " I'm meeting some bad guys so you must follow me."
By the way, why didn't she just tell Bond that her BF is in trouble. That'll make a lot of sense instead of her double crossing Bond. What a lame plot...

Have to see it again to really get it. I was busy comparing the book and the movie. Her BF got lifted before she met him. So she saved him.
