I'm exploring new birth control options outside of the pill. I just found information on Implanon and it discusses many potential side effects, such as headaches, weight gain, moodiness, along with inconsistent periods (strength, length, cramps, etc, etc). Has anyone out there ever used Implanon and what side effects did you experience? I have issues with very painful cramps during my period when I'm not on the pill, and have menstrual headaches as well. Any advice???

My ex-gf had implanon. She had mood swings that she couldn't handle and go from crazy to horny. She's doing better now on depo-provera, but I think these sorts of things are pretty much individual - you got to try it and see. Different girls will react differently.
