i cant understand why all of these people are saying POTC.....definitely Titanic.

Hmm...
I dont think you can compare the two.
Titanic was a true life event besides the romance storyline.
Titanic was very sad for the simple fact that 1500 people lost there lives in the Atlantic Ocean 94 years ago.
POTC is about Pirates and was not a true story.
But if I had to choose, Titanic!

They are both awesome but on different levels. There's really no comparison. Johnny Depp is so much cuter than Leo but they are both great actors. Titanic is more of a love story than Pirates (a little more mushy). I personally liked Pirates better.

Pirates. No doubt about it. I really really don't like titanic. Pirates has the best soundtrack in the history of the world, and beyond that I love the story, and let's face it the swordfights and costuming and characters are just yummy.

Are you kidding? There's no comparison. Titanic was good for historical reference, although the fictional love story in it was horrible, and detracting from the actual events. Pirates of the Caribbean is hilarous, with an amazing cast of actually talented actors, in comparison to Leo Dicaprio who 'thinks' he can act.
Obviously POTC.
Speaking of which, I'm heading downtown in about 10 minutes to get POTC 2, which comes out on DVD today. :D

I don't know if that is a very fair comparison considering that they are two totally different movies. But in my opinion Pirates of the Caribbean is better. I like comedies and action and love stories all put into one and don't forget about deception.
Titanic is still very good though.

When I saw Titanic I was so anxious to leave. It took forever.
