My heart tells me no, that insensitivity is not an epidemic. I've found that the human touch is the best test to prove this. If you can touch ones persons heart...you will see that all are still capable but our modern, technological society has caused much isolation & dissention upon the human race.Unfortunately, if one looks at the surface of the world, & global events it does seem that there is a pandemic of heartless souls. If you keep your sights on the surface you will believe that insensitivity has consumed the vast majority. But ; if everyday you make it your mission to see the soul of as many people that you can ... touch...I think you will begin to see a break through. No, doubt these are distressful times we live in. I often wonder how anyone ever survived The Dark Ages....there are some from generations past that walk amongst us...remember it is survival of the fittest.

Insensitivity is part and partial to the extreme apathy this and other countries have come to take as normal, simply said, too many people just do not care about anything but themselves. Patriotism is almost regarded as a personality disorder, thus the complete absence, or close to complete absence of caring about how you affect others lives....sad, but unfortunately true!
