I've noticed that quite a lot of people ask a question, get loads of good answers and don't bother to choose an answer/comment/etc.
Does it make you feel that the person isn't actually interested, and maybe you shouldn't bother to take the time to answer them?
Also, I have noticed that one person may ask a question saying "I'm pregnant ......." and then another saying "Am I too old to be a Dad........" ???????????
Do you think that these questions are genuine? Or are people just bored?

Kit Kat, what is important is to know whether the person has benefitted from the answers - I don't really mind about the points, so mine doesn't have to be picked as the best - I just want to know that the person is actually bothering to check the answers.
I totally understand the people who said that they are not always able to go online in time to pick an answer, that has happened a couple of times to me. But some people never pick - I wonder whether they know they can.

I think maybe I wasn't clear about the person asking a question "I'm pregnant..." and then "I'm a Dad......" - these questions were asked by the same person - or is it several people using one ID?

I only have access to the Internet at work so it is difficult for me to get there in time to choose a best answer. It really annoys me because I have a blackberry, so I get informed that I only have a limited time to choose a best answer, but I know I can't. I also know that when people vote for a best answer they invariably choose the worst!

I totally agree with Ur question about choosing an answer ,yes it makes me wonder because these people take the time to think of a question,type it and look at the responses they get for it then can't even be bothered to choose the best one,,strange and annoying!!!!!!!

Yeah I don't like it when you take the time out to answer someones questions bet to your knowledge and they choose not to pick best answer. A lot of people use detailed answers! Yes I think alot of people are bored on here and just ask stupid like questions to get a rise out of people. Some people take this website for granted!

I always try to choose a best answer but sometimes i don't get a chance to go on Yahoo Answers for a week so the question goes to a Public Vote.

I leave some of mine to a vote, especially if there is no logical right answer...It's the democratic thing to do.
I often vote too. If you vote for the chosen answer you also get 3 points. I vote just so accordingly about 30% of the time.

Not all answers are directly proportionate to every question. But first, the Anatomy of a question must be examined.
What is a "question?" This is weird because one is forced to use the very entity being examined to examine the question of what a question is. This is an indication that there is something lacking in man's logic or his communication systems or both or something else.
The answer is within the answer...never the question. For if we answer before we are even asked, the answer is already there; isn't it? The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind, the answer is blowin' in the wind.
Hope you got your answer because I am not answering any more questions in this context nor am I questioning you any further.

It annoys me when they dont pick, but I suppose I cant complain as lots of my best answers have been voted for!
Some of the questions just make me go "Sheesh!!!", you wonder at some people's sanity! lol...;
