The whole point to Godparents is if anything were to happen to the actual parents then the Godparents would take the children in and raise them. My father is my son's Godparent. My parents are separated and so there is just the Godparent. As long as you know that the person or persons that your gave this opportunity to is loving and have good moral values and has the same ideas on how to raise a child, then it's great. Children with Godparents are no different than any other children. The benifit is to the parents knowing that their child will be taken care of if anything wre to happen.

Wow, alot of questions! I think God Parents are nice to have. No, I don't have any. No, I don't think they are different. Better off only if the original parents die they have someone who will take them in and care for them. More secure is my only offer for those with as opposed to those without. I don't really have anybody picked for my child should something happen to us.

Godparents take care of the child when needed, they can give gifts or whatever but I think the main reason is they get custody of the child or children if something happens to the parents.

I think Godparents have to know God and it is their responsibility to introduce God to the child. If they don't want to do that, they shouldn't be Godparents. I was asked to be Godparent to a child that I hardly knew and haven't seen in 20 years. Sad. Wouldn't want anyone else to do that to a child.

call them even with you opt for to. the conception of "godparents" that is composed of asking someone you think to protect your toddlers if some thing occurs to you is only good elementary experience. the conception of "godparents" that that they'd strengthen the toddlers on your human being faith is kinda stupid. And only calling them "godparents" (that is a elementary time period) doesn't advise conception in a god any more advantageous than affirming so long does (bypass look up the origins of the note). Peace.

I don't believe in godparents and I will never be someone's godparent.
