I have been off of my birth control for one month and my husband and I have been trying to get me pregnant. I was hoping I would conceive this month but I started my period yesterday. What is going on and what can I do?

BC pills take a month to start working so they probably take atleast a month to stop working as well. Just keep trying. You probably just still have them in your system. One month isn't very long.
Good luck -

hello. My fiancee and I have been trying for 8 months. no baby yet. Chart your cycles. That is so helpful, always make love right before you ovulate and while you ovulate. Look up other ovulation calendars online. They will be helpful, just find one that works for you. Most of the time it takes a couple with no problems 6months -1 year. if you have not conceived after one year of trying then contact your gyno and they will do some tests. It is very frustrating to get a negitive response on the pregnancy test every month. Good Luck, I Hope that it happens for you quickly

Keep in mind that the most fertile couples STILL only have a 20% chance of conceiving in any given month! And with the proper timing, too. I'm sorry that your expectations are so distorted.

For the next few months, just be sure that you are having lots of sex, every other day or so, especially starting on day 11 of your cycle.

Good luck, and I hope it happens soon for you!

It normally takes about 3 months for the pills to work there way out of your system completely. And as far as trying to have a baby, all you can really do is keep trying, there is no real garuntee as towards wether you will become pregnant or not. using an ovulation calender (can be found many places online using a search browser) might help you determine when the best times to try are. Good luck to you hun.

I know this may sound a little dumb but me and my husband have been trying for a about a year and a half and I finally got pregnant, I have had a past with endometriosis, so I thought that I was going to have to have myself cleaned on the inside again. But I went to a toy sex party and got a silver bullet was able to have lots and lots of orgasms and I think that helps you get pregnant because it is something to do with when you *** and your partner cums some part of the inside contracts and grabs the sperm and takes it inside you faster. I know it sounds strange but it can be fun while you are trying. go to www.pureromance.com and check out some of the toys. Good Luck.
Also give it a little more than a month because it also depends on how long you were on your birth control and it does take time for it to stop working, also you may want to make an appointment the OB/GYN just to get checked out and she/he can give you tips on what to do.

One month? Ask again when you are trying 10 months. Thats how long I have been trying. The average young healthy couple take 6months to 1 year to get pregnant. I know it seems like a really long time but it goes by really quick. If you want to up your chances, start charting your cycles so you know when you are fertile and when you ovulate. Fertilityfriend.com is a free site for chart.

Good luck.
