it is most likely that the baby won't be developed enough for them to tell by a scan, but if you get a CVS you could find out.. i wouldn't recommend it though. keep it as a surprise for both of you!

Why are you yelling? Lose the caps. I hope the father already knows you're pregnant and that's not going to be a part of the surprise. Call your doctor and ask if there is a way to tell the sex, he/she will be able to give you the facts.

sometimes on a scan you can tell the sex quite early.. It might be a little early. Even if you did have a scan before your wedding, because your still ij the early days they can get it wrong. this happened ot a freind of mine, they told her it was a girl all along and she had a boy!

Good luck on your wedding, have a nice day

I believe the earliest would be around 14 weeks. Maybe earlier, but its really not guaranteed by then. Hard to tell. I usually found out what I was having around 19 weeks. my friend found out at 16 weeks. You could ask the doctor and see, and tell her what you are planning. Good Luck!

You'd have to ask the doctor, normally that'd be around 18-20 weeks, but you never know! You'll also want to check your insurance policy, most only cover one ultrasound unless medically nessecary... and thats the one they will do around 18-20 weeks because there are various things they'll check for!

Good Luck and Congrats!

Thats my daughter's 3rd birthday!

Yes, but it is expensive and not medically justified. There is a procedure called antisynthesis, in which amniotic fluid is withdrawn from your uterus. The fluid is genetically analyzed. A male fetus has XY chromosomes. A female fetus has XX chromosomes. The test is virtually foolproof.

One way to find out the sex if you can't tell with an u/s or anything, is to go to a reflexologist. Somehow they know everytime by something they can feel on your feet. I'm not sure how early they can tell, but it definitely works.

12 weeks pregnant is a little too early to tell what the sex is. you probably won't be able to see anything until the end of January.

An ultrasound would not be accurate enough at that time. 16-20 wks is around when you can tell.

If you got a cvs you could. Otherwise, ultrasound won't pick it until about 18 weeks.
