How do you hook up or set up a LAN line between two gaming systems?????? Please help!!!?

We have 2 ps2 in the house and we are trying to play SOCOM combined assult co op with an lan connection. is there default ip address and router numbers that we put in since we are not going online?

You do need a router that assigns an IP to the PS2s. You don't need to use it for Internet. A switch or hub won't work. To configure a network, IPs are necessary. Or, if you have a PC, running Server 2003, an act like a DHCP server, then all 3 must connect using a hub or switch, then the PC assigns IPs. Cheaper and easier, Router.
