~~ El Paso is the oldest city in Texas, I've been there twice and liked it very much. .
~~ "The Avenue of the Americas" leads you to another country.
And being a border town the culture is a mix of both countries.
I remember it being colourful, the people friendly and accommodating.
It is a city I could live in, not too densely populated.
~~ The sun shines 302 days per year on average in El Paso, 83 percent of daylight hours, according to the El Paso Weather Bureau. It is from this that the city is nicknamed, The Sun City.

Low cost of living. Inexpensive housing. Population about 80 percent Mexican,so being able to speak Spanish a plus. Sunshine almost every day. Lot of military families there at Ft. Bliss , low crime rate.

I've only driven through there on the interstate as an adult, but when I was a baby I lived there briefly. It is dusty, hot, and somewhat barren, but from what I understand, going to Juarez can be fun!
