My choice for the 1st Test will be the following players:
1) Rahul Dravid.
2) Sachin Tendulkar
3) Virender Shewag
4) Wasim Jaffer.
5) Saurav Ganguly
6) V.V.S. Laxman
7) M.S. Dhoni.
8) Munaf Patel
9) Zaheer Khan
10)Anil Kumble.
11) Harbajan Singh.
If Team Management decides to have only one spinner, Irfan Pathan should be taken in place of Harbajan Singh as he is
struggling.

I had opted for 6 specialist batsman for first test wth Dhoni and Pathan coming at no. 7 and 8. I would make Ganguly to bowl part time as a medium pacer (had his sucess in Toronto series) and also Sehwag and Sachin as a part time spinners.

its a better squad I think
*Ganguly could have been included on the reason he is a medium pacer, but his kind of bowling will surely be ineffective in Soth African pitches.
*Yuvraj Singh is excluded as he is injured. Other wise either Sehwag or Jaffer could be left to give him a place in top eleven.
*L Balaji included for his ability to bowl surprising inswingers, which no other bowler in India currently can and shall be very effective in SA along with Zaheer Khan to open the attack.

why do u think we call him 10dulkar, we need ten players to equal him. and me on the other hand could just defend every ball by blocking the wicket and taking care of lbw too.
