No, in no way whatsoever.
Seriously, its possible, but then again if your not confident in yourself you might be questioning people who really do like you but still enjoy gawking at a nice house.
When you meet people let them get to know you before you start flashing the "bling bling" around and you might feel more comfortable. If that doesnt work, then when you get to college (if you arent there yet...) then you can pretend to be a love-able bum that lives in the dorms. You'll make plenty of friends, get a loving girlfriend (oh, i just looked at your profile...ok, sweet hot boyfriend. Those are good.) and then surprise the hell out of them when you take'em home...but you know they love you for you.

I would say same do and some don't. Try not to expose them to your status until they get to know you. You'll have a better chance of them getting to know you.
