Just heard the heart tones and my doc said they're 144 beats per minute..so he said he thinks it's a girl. Anybody else want to share if their baby's heartrate matched what sex they were. (140 and under is supposed to be a boy, 141 and up is a girl.)

Wow! it is totally youthful to commence. purely exhibits how a procedures the international has taken issues to the brilliant. i'm sorry to take heed to that you opt for her to get an abortion, existence is a present from God, even although we do not see it that way each so often. If she will't manage being a mom at that youthful age, then perhaps evaluate adoption. there are a determination of loving couples available lack of life to have a baby of their own, yet won't be able to through medical motives, so adoption might want to be the right answer. i understand she had to have sex the nighttime she went to the flicks 5 months in the past and got here living house on the hours of darkness, it is the purely answer that is sensible. yet can sh love the new child like a baby needs love? Will she get up at 10:00, 12:00, 2:00 each nighttime and nonetheless bypass to school? purely something to imagine about.

You know what. I did a LOT of research on that when I was pregnant with my 3rd child. I had heard it for my boy (and it was correct) and I had heard it for my girl (also correct). But then it was incorrect for my 3rd baby (girl). And here is why, the heart beat ONLY correlates to the sex of the baby WHILE you're in active labor. So it was just luck that it was right for my first two. And that is pretty well accurate!

My oldest child is 27 years old. Back then they did not do somograms so the only way to determine the sex was by the heartrate. My doctor told me it was a girl and he was correct. Then with my son the same thing happened. I do believe that the heartrate can determine the sex of the baby .

Yep. My girl's heartbeat was 175 the first time we heard it. We "knew" we were having a girl! Some of my other girlfriends went thru the same thing... girls definitely have higher heartrates than boys.

I think it was only right with one of my children (I have 5). When the baby moves around in the womb it's heartrate accelerates. So if you think about it... a boy could have a "girls heartrate" because he is active.

My son's heartbeat was around 135 to 145. I have a friend who has 5 boys and they all had heartbeats of around 150. So it isn't always correct but sometimes I'm sure it is. Ultrasounds are really the best bet in determining the sex of a baby and sometimes those aren't always right either!!!!!

good luck and congrats!

No! My baby's heart beat was always around 160....and it was a boy!! Before they had ultrasounds, that was one way for the doctor to make an educated guess, but as you can see from me, it definatly is not garunteed!
