Click on TOOLS & go down to word count!
It will tell how many words per page, per paragraph, per document & also show you how many paragraphs per document, per page!

Go to tools, ensure the entire menu drops down, here u should see "word count", it's the 3rd one down. If it is u don't want to count the entire document, higlight the text that u do want to count and u should be fine there. : )

click on it you will see in a separate window with number of
word, lines, etc. many thing - enjoy !

You highlight all the words that you want to count, and you go and click tools, and you click word count.

go to tools word count, it should be the 2nd or 3rd down.

Hey Sunshine,
I do this all the time, go to INSERT, pick FIELD, then NUMWORDS. You will see many options for fields, they are alphabetic.
