I am happily single. Marriage just doesn't seem advantageous to me. I never could understand why people get married unless it is truly a loving relationship.

Its a modern world now. There are many reasons why many of the people choose to remain single.
Firstly, some of them are workaholic. They seldom think of getting married and their mission are only to climb higher in their career life.By the time they want to get in a relationship, its difficult.
Secondly, life experiences that are seen by them. Some of them would want to remain single because of previously, their parents were divorced and they would never want to waste time to get married and get into a mess in married life.
Thirdly, more men and women are not having that trust people in the opposite gender anymore.
Fourth, many young people nowadays are having commitments taking care of their sickly parents.
These are my opinions and I hope it fine. :)

I think its because of how the economy as well as the environment around us is shaping. As products and services gets more expensive, people tend to work more hours in order to keep up with their lifestyle and that doesnt give them time to go out on dates or settle down with someone or even give enough time to their loved ones

Because you/they are misguided, selfish, self-obsessed, of the opinion that they are "going to miss out on something", etc etc
I am surprised that you need an unknown respondant to tell you why you will end up all sad and lonely.

Maybe because the divorce rate is so high and people that are married are not keeping quiet about how miserable they are.

Alot of women out there don't know their roles. I'm about to kick my wife to the curb if she doesn't shape up.
