info on makelele?

could anyone tell me some info on makelele.i know that he plays for chelsea but i want to know if he is a good player.i also want your opinion abuot him and his club chelsea.

Makelele is a world-class holding midfielder - he's so good at what he does that his position is often called the Makelele role. Basically, he sits in front of the back 4 and disrupts any attacks coming his way, while also being the outlet for plenty of Chelsea attacks. Because he is so adept at his job, players like Lampard and Ballack can go forward and attack without worrying too much the defensive responsibilities behind them.
Prior to joining Chelsea and winning the EPL title twice, Makelele played for Real Madrid, where he won a Spanish League title and a Champions League trophy. Since Makelele left, Real Madrid have won nothing.
So yes, he is definitely a good player - he's world class, and arguably the best at what he does.
As for his club Chelsea...they've got loads of money, so they can afford to buy up all sorts of expensive players, including Makelele (he was bought for 16.8 million Pounds).

In the world we have some great Midfielders, and he is among the 3 best or I can even say the best in his position...

He is the kind of midfielder any team would like to have and when you look at the consideration he has at Chelsea you'd understand what he is worth it...

I believe one of the reason Gallas left the team is Makelele's I mean how come both players came from the world cup and Mourinho only gave him a leaf and not Gallas while they both were involved in the world cup? I think Gallas tried to compare himself to him that's why he got that problem, although there were other issues involved that's just one example to show you how importante he is in the team. whatch the man in decissive game eg. champions league.

Makelele is he best!!

Claude Makélélé (born February 18, 1973 in Kinshasa, Zaire) is a French international football player, who currently plays defensive midfield for Chelsea in the English Premiership. He is married to the French supermodel Noémie Lenoir with whom he has one son named Kelyan.

Prior to joining Chelsea, Makélélé played for Nantes (1992-97), Olympique de Marseille (1997-98), Celta Vigo (1998-2000), and Real Madrid (2000-03). Chelsea purchased him for £16.6 million from the Spanish giants.

Claude Makelele is the heart and soul of any side he plays for. I personally believe that it was because of him that Chelsea has won two Premiership Titles. He solidifies the midfield with his holding/defensive presence and starts attacking moves with simple but intelligent passing. He was seriously underpaid in Real Madrid and thus sold to Chelsea in 2003. To quote Real Madris's former president Florentino Pérez "We will not miss Makélélé. His technique is average, he lacks the speed and skill to take the ball past opponents, and ninety percent of his distribution either goes backwards or sideways."

Since he left Real Madrid, they have won nothing, and only this season acquired Diarra as a holding midfielder to do the job that Makelele perfected.

Chelsea and Jose Mourinho has shown their appreciation of his talent. Although he is gettig older (aged 33), I see Michael Essien as his understudy, playing in a similar role as Makelele.

He has score few goals in his career, and has attempted 5 shots total over the past 3 years.
