south africa have beaten them in a series and proved they can chase any total..sa have also been doing well at the bowling...so i think they have a lot of competition from sa....WI hav beaten both teams in the icc trophy and wil also be a favrite

Though Australia is No. 1 Team in the World today, they cannot take it for granted that they can win the world cup as with one or two bad performance will eliminate their chances to win the World Cup.

Yes and No. They can win it but they wont. There are other good teams that can match them like SA who have won a home series against them this year and WIndies who also beat them this year. WI have the home advantage and that is going to count.
Aus still have the brilliance they had a in 2003 but they lack the dominance over the other teams. I cant see them doing it again because unlike in 2003 SA and WI can match them player for player.
