I know its a cliche. I don't celebrate Christmas in the Christian sense, I celebrate it in the old school yule sense i.e. bringing light into winter, celebrating family time, gift giving etc. I got back from a shopping trip in London yesterday and I'm starting to seethe with the commercialism of it all. Whats your favourite bit of the whole festive season?

I celebrate both ways. In the Christian sense it's the meaning and hope that baby Jesus represents. In the other sense it's the beautiful lights and the scents, and the decorations, and the gifts, and the family, and the weather especially if I get to see snow! I love this season!

The thing I enjoy most about Christmas is spending time with my whole family! It's one of the only times of the year where we all are together. We have a great time! It will especially wonderful this year, because my nephew will be coming home from Iraq! We have not seen him in over 2 years! He will only be here for 1 week, so all of our time will be spent with him. That's the way he wants it. We show him nothing but love when he is here. It is very hard to let him go when he has to return back to Iraq. He has been in Iraq for a total of 5 years. That's way too long!

The best part is seeing your city and everyone in a Christmas mood. I like driving down the road with the lit Christmas Tree decorations hanging on the street lights. I like the lights they display on the trees in fron of the department store. Overall, you get time off from your everyday life to spend with people you rarely see everyday or spend more time with the people around you.

Probably I like everyone is merry and when you over to people houses you are surrouned by hugs, kisses, and Mery chritmas's which I just love it! Another thing i always loveed was doing the christmas cookies with my mom because she would always tell me stories about how she would grow and make the sam cookies. I love buying presents and seeing my family's face lit up but most importantly decorating the tree is the funnest part!

Being able to afford to buy my kids' Christmas presents. I know that sounds bad, but this is the first time in two years that I've been able to afford decent gifts for my kids, and I'm using that to my advantage. I've bought everything under the sun, and I'm STILL NOT THROUGH!!

I pretty much despise Christmas. I work in Rock Center in NYC and they put Christmas right in your face and it bothers the crap out of me. Furthermore, I can't stand religion, so that significance means nothing to me.

I only like for my nieces and nephews.
