Definately SCSI, theres no way USB can keep up with an Ultra SCSI 320 tape drive, if you go for a DLT tape drive on Ultra SCSI 320 you'll be looking at transfers of around 200-225Mb a second

I would suggest you use a SCSI Tape Drive. You will need to ensure that you have a free SCSI Controller that isn't being used by hard drives etc. If not you'll need to purchase one separately - try Adaptec.

I can't tell you which is better but I work for a very reputable computer consulting firm and we always use SCSI for the tape backup in servers.

SCSI will always be faster than USB for drives.
