If a guy has a femail friend, it is called Girl Friend.But if he has a mel friend, then it is just a Friend! Why so?Why dont we term as Male-Freind?

Well thought question! This one of the reason of being discriminate between males & females. Rather we should call friend only friend not girl or boy friend.

Actually, what you are saying is not really true. A girl who is a' friend' is known only as a friend. Only when you are in a relationship with a girl that she is called a 'girlfriend'.
Same is with boys. A 'boyfriend' is only someone who shares a love relationship with you. Otherwise girls and boys are mere friends.
