India have a better chance in th tests than in the one dayers. If you look to the ICC test rankings you see SA are 6th and India 4th. Yes Surprise surprise.
This is because of SAs lack of concentration for longer spells. They woul do well in the first and second session but then play pathetically in the third and it has happened that this started to lose them matches.
They have been in winning positions in tests but have thenlet it slip away from them. But if Smith can continue his form or better it should I say then the boys in green have a good chance of winning this one as a whitewash.
India are struggling and they are really in trouble. They may be down but certainly not out SA can not underestimate them.
SA has to improve their test ranking and normally do pretty well at home. I say SA will whitewash India and based on current form few will argue with me

I think Saurov joining the indian team will make no difference, The reason is that he has not played any Intl cricet for the last 1 yr or so, he is going to fail in SA, the reason given would as simply as "I did not get much match practice". I think India is going to be drubbed 3-0, I am very big fan of India but it hurts when they give dismayal play.
Anyway only what we can do stand behind the team and say Go INDIAN GO....

Team India performing like this in da recently concluded MTN one day series was dramatic. sehwags, tendulkars, dravids, kaifs, n other played as they were playin thr debut matches.although India's performance in South Africa had not been so bad as this was.da main reason for lacklusture performance is batsmen friendly and dead pitches prepared in India.talkin abut da comin test series, i don think there wil be any expectation of any indian fan from da team, as South African bowlers will comin hard at da team india.

It was pathetic performance in the ODI. While they may be able to perform better in Test Matches, I do not think they can win over South Africa as they have never defeated South Africa in South Africa. If they manage to defeat South Africa in Test Matches, they can defenitely redeem some of the lost prestige.
