Christmas can quickly lose its beautiful meaning if we let ourselves get caught up in the ever-increasing commercialism of it. I just have to hit the mute button or turn off the TV.
This year, give her the gift that puts you in debt for the next 5 years.
This year, give him what he really wants, a Lexus.
Make our over-priced crappy holiday platter your new holiday tradition.
It's just not Christmas without our name brand stamped on everything in sight.

I hate every single ad on tv being about Christmas, especially in the UK the one for Iceland Frozen Foods with Kerry Katona saying "thats why mums go to Iceland"
I have to turn the volume off her voice now.

I don't mind it *now*, but I really, really minded three weeks ago.
It's bad enough when ads start before US Thanksgiving, but when they start before Veterans/Remembrance Day it really irks me. Worse if they start before Hallowe'en. I actually walked out of a store that I found decorated on November 9th - after informing the manager why I was leaving with buying anything, of course.
They gotta know that eventually this will backfire.

I don't mind the ad's so much, but I think I can help you out. If your sick of the ad's on TV, the grab the remote and push the "OFF" button. Crazy concept huh? You should really try it sometime.

It's annoying. Jesus was born at census/tax-time, and it always reminds me of taxes. I'm really not in the mood for a shopping frenzy knowing It's the end of the year, and taxes are coming due.
Maybe that's why his dad had him born at census/tax-time, (which would have been in the spring or fall), to deter false churches from taking advantage. You know, this is serious business.

Yes the one I find most annoying is the one when the boy on the ASDA advert shouts "IT'S CHRISTMAS!" which was first aired in October that made it more annoying but overall yes they really are annoying.

Yes i hate it too.
This year has seen the most aggressive advertising i can remember.
How is it possible to teach our children the true meaning of Christmas when the advertisements are filling their young, impressionable brains with their filth?
It's warped!

I hit the mute button as soon as adverts come up, but I do hate what they did to Xmas. It's lost its meaning and is now a commercial crap.
