ok i have been asked to marry the guy i love but ever since then people say he is a cheater and messes around on every one he gets with he says he loves me and would not hurt me but i just want to prove to my self that he is the right one i want to know if he is messing around or are people just trying to get us to split up because they dont like me dont get me wrong i trust him and love him with all my heart i would kill my self if he asked but i am not sure if these people are telling the truth about him help i NEED to know before i marry him and get hurt any more then i might already

You have to see who it is telling you this. Is it your best friend? Is it someone that used to be with him? If its one of his exs then they are doing that because they are jealous. Some other people may be doing this for the same reason. However, if it is coming from your good friend ask yourself if you trust her or him.

You are saying the right things but your actions are not in line with what you are saying. How long have you been with this guy? And you still don't know if he is the man for you? The more I think about it you are sounding kinda weak. Get some confidence about your man. If you guys aren't even married yet and people can put doubt in your heart and mind this easily then I would say you should not get married. I mean you have already laid out that these people could be trying to just hurt you and you still want to listen to them. I think these feelings are your own feelings. You are afraid and you should be. That's what love is. Love is putting your feelings on the line and believing and trusting that you will not be hurt. So its normal to be afraid but you also have to be confident that despite your fears the man you love will prove worthy. If you don't feel this then you shouldn't be getting married. He deserves a woman that will believe in him no matter what other people say. So if you love him as you say you do don't be easily persuaded to leave him based on the words of others.

People as in more than one person is telling you this? You can hire a detective, check on him yourself, talk to him straight out or move on to the next relationship. Have you heard the saying where there's smoke...... You can't go through life wondering. Don't get married until this is resolved. If you love him so much give him a get out of jail free card. Telling him what you have heard and tell him that if he is honest with you that you are willing to forgive him but that you need to work on why it happened. I told him that if I heard that he had cheated on me 20 years after the fact that we would get divorced. We have been married 16 years now.

Have a sit down and bring it up. You need to hear his side of the story. If he does admit to the past flings and he does love you as much as you think he does.....or better yet - more than "the other past women", than he shouldn't have too much objection to signing a pre-nup. That way, at least your covered with a signed contract. The only technical agreement on the contract should be that he will lose his as$ if caught unfaithful. Nuff sed. Best 'o luck..

You can not listen to others when it comes to love and marriage. If you are a believer in Christ, you should fall on your knees and ask God to show you the way. No one in this world can tell you who to love or who to marry. Believe in your heart and ask yourself are you ready for all the trials and tribulations of marriage. Marriage is for better or worse so please do not jump into something that you are not ready for, and that you are not willing to work through.

If other people know about his cheating then ask them for names and contact the person involved to see if its true.
I would suggest that if several of your friends are telling you he is a cheater, you are playing with fire if you continue this relationship.

he said he wiould not hurt you, he didnt say he wouldnt cheat. Very important key fact, any way a marriage can not succeed with out trust and honesty doesnt sound like neither of those are involved here
