Electricity is cuz of magnetism and magnetism is cuz of electricity. Due to the current genrated by the electrons in their orbits(spin+angular motion) magnetic moment is produced and that substance is called magnet. If magnetic flux through a wire is chnaged emf is produced (Faraday/ lenz Law) , which is the cause of electricity. Electric/Magnetic field intensities were very well related by MAXWELL's EQUATIONS.

Electricity is the flow of negatively charged particles known as electrons. A magnet is a substance that can attract magnetic materials such as Aluminium, Nickel, Iron and Cobalt. There is always a field of energy around a magnet and a wire with electricity passing through it. If a magnet is brought close to an idle wire, it(the wire) is electrified. If a live wire is kept close to any magnetic material, it is temporarily magnetised.

Danmalang,
By making and breaking the magnetic field with a rotor inside a coil you generate alternating current which is called electricity.
