Actually the flaw lies in the BCCI plans to develop and tap talent. The lacuna lay in the sort of pitches we are offering for our domestic fixtures/matches. Prepare fast pitches and devise a system to trace and rectify flaws in selected cricketers including budding cricketers.

Now the good news is that BCCI has decided to prepare/offer fast tracks at Ranji Trophy level. I feel, Greg had already recommended it to the BCCI but BCCI always presented a dumb to it. Now the situation has created emergency situation. But I heartedly appreciate the decision of the BCCI. It is never too late to mend.

Players have to be blamed for performing dismally. But Greg Chappell must be blamed for not having motivated the team sufficiently and indulging in fruitless and self defeating exercises like shuffling batting order. The coach is an integral part of the team. Else no team would have a coach. He has clear cut responsibilities, even though these are restricted outside the field. But those off the field responsibilities, like strategy, motivation, picking the final 11 etc can go a long way in determining a team's performance. Remember Dave Whatmore and Sri Lanka? Chappell is a man who loves to be in charge and exercise a fair amount of authority. And he has had his way thus far. Considering that he is pretty expensive, he must be made accountable for his share of failures in the team's poor performance. The team and Chappell are equally responsible for this debacle.

No according to me the downfall of the Indian team started only when Greg Chappell became the coach. He makes unreasonable experiments in the team and gives undue importance on the presence of youngsters in the team.India was in the best of its form when we had John Wright as the coach. But Chappell has been successful in making the current team the worst team ever.I agree that even the players are to blame but Chappell is the person who is to be blamed the most.Even the team statistics prove that.

How would u say so because Greg is our teams coach and he can only train or solve the players problems outside the feild, But it is the players who themselfs have to be confident in themself. By looking at the play of our cricketers it seems that they r not confident themselfs that they can play better and win or they know that even if they do not play better they have a seet reserved in the Indian team. If you see at other teams player like Ricky, Lara, Inzy, Murali, etc they r very confident of themselfs and have a good consistency. While our players even like sachin, looks like only tigers on papers. who have a big record but no consistency. And according to me consistency is the main thing a player has to have all the time. then only he can deliver a good play.

There is absolutely no logic in blaming the Coach. The entire blame for the pathetic performance should go to the players.

At first today’s Indian Cricket Team is the bunch of collection, selected by Coach, Captain, & others, so the first choice of players was of coach & he is accountable.
The coach should work on team performance not divide and dictate
Coach is been haired to coach Indian Cricket team & streamline the Team performance not show his supremacy of stupid attitude
His every approach & speech from the day one is been most irritating and is every approach to change Indian cricket team is miserable.
