It,s a tradition to put in some money so the purse will never be empty so if wallet has a change section you should put some coins in

I always thought it was any amount of money or just one penny for good luck with money. I have gotten purses and wallets with both just a penny in them and a some with a couple dollars stuffed in them.

just a coin as far as i know, its called chancelling or something. It means you will always have money in your purse. yup you can do it with a mans wallet.

just a coin. So it may never be empty. And if you give scissors or something sharp they have to give you some money so that they have 'bought' it from you, so its not to hurt them.
