Yes dear it is easy to say Racist to stop you from voicing your opinion. But yeah it is a political correctness going too far, nevertheless have a great CHRISTmas and a Wonderful New Year.

I live in the US and the US is based and powered and created by immigrants. We are the great nation that we are because of our diverse population. All that said, it IS Christmas, whether anyone likes it or not. There is not ONE person I know from another culture or religion who's offended by the fact that it's Christmas. Not ONE person I know from another religion wants it to be refered to as something else. Come on people give foreigners and people of other religions a little more credit. THEY DON'T MIND. I promise.
I think it's mostly the Christians who don't want a religious holiday rather than people who're from other faiths that have started this trend.

Happy Christmas to all Christians

Sometimes I think you must feel a little "cornered" in the UK at the moment.

Feel for ya,

me, an athiest but i still believe this is a Christian country and i wouldn't dream of criticising the predominant religion.

Councils have not guts.

How right you are! Non-Christmassy Christmas stamps, "Happy holidays" Christmas cards... we might as well call it the "Ides of December".
Living in a multi-cultural world does not mean we have to lose our cultural identity to placate incomers from other parts of the globe or renege our own traditions and customs.
I don't think they make concessions for our customs when we are living in their countries. Can you see " Happy Christmas" banners draped across streets in Muslim countries as we have "Happy Diwali" in the midlands and northern towns in England? I doubt it.

it's ridiculous that regligion is considered important when it is not considered necessary to people working in companies. you're right;why fall prey to the age old argument "my religion is better than yours?" we all live in the same society or country, people should get along better and not turn religion into a way of being a better person. glad your country is openminded!
