Mcdonalds.... Go higher than the store manager though.. District Manager is the one you probably need to talk to

The Manager - be careful since they have 'shift managers' who are just glorified crew chiefs with no more clue than the other employees. You want a real Manager, which may mean coming back during the day. At a minimum, a Manager who cares about keeping customers will offer you both a refund and coupons (to encourage you to come back), and try to find out who the responsible crew member was.

It's in the company's interest *not* to be handing out undercooked burgers so he/she *should* be interested not only in making you happy but in preventing a recurrence. Unfortunately even the Managers are often stuck up d*cks or morons so you might not get a satisfactory response. If not go straight to the health department or equivalent in your area. Have as many details as possible, and if you can bring the burger itself.

BTW contrary to what some a**holes like to claim the burgers are 100% real beef, it's just not very high quality beef.

You bring up the complaint to the manager of the Mcdonalds where you purchased the burger. If that does not work, then there should be an 800 or 866 number posted in the store that you can call to file the complaint.

I would complain direct to the staff at McDonalds where I had purchased the burger from and then after I had been given my replacement or refund I would write to McDonalds Head Office and ask for their comments. I'm sure you would get some vouchers or money back

The best thing to do is talk to the manager, hopefully he/she isn't completely rude about the whole situation though. Most of the time they will fix you another one, or if you really insist, you can probably get your money back. Finding something like that usually kills my appetite so I usually opt for the money back. To help prevent it from happening again, you can order your beef extra cooked and always check it to be sure it cooked to your liking before taking a bite.

Getting an under cooked burger isn't a crime, and lots of people like their meat under cooked despite warnings about food-borne illnesses so I am not sure contacting any health department or other government agencies would do any good, that is unless you suspect intentional wrong doing. If that is the case I would definitely follow through with some form of your local government.

What's the big deal. Ever been to a bull roast where they serve Tar-tar. The chances that you would get sick from an occasional incident of eating raw ground beef are not that great. I would still complain to the store manager though.

You should first of all report it to the branch manager so they can try and avoid it happening again. I would also contact mcdonalds head office and environmental health as this could have been very dangerous and cause food poisoning.

Regional manager. The store manager is usually a useless spotty kid who only got promoted from the shop floor coz he went an entire week once without ringin in sick or turning up hungover.
Environmental health might be interested too

The store manager will always answer complaints. Start with the person who served you the raw food and they should be able to point you in the right direction.

If you want your money back ask the manager. If you're truly concerned about this incident then look up the McDonald's corporate office in your local phone book and tell them.
