I'd definatley check out Ghost in the Shell: SAC. Takes more intelligence than most kid crap anime to understand, and it's pretty much the most mind inspiring anime out there right now.
Also, check out your classics (Akira, anything by Studio Ghibli, etc).
If you're into bleach, watch Blood: the Last Vampire. Kinda short for a movie, but d@mn good...

For some reason Samurai Seven reminded me of Naruto, so check that... might like it. Oh, and Iria.
