When using IE, the task bar disappears. Help!

drag your task bar up.
right click the task bar and make sure 'lock taskbar' is ticked.
also your IE might be running in kiosk mode. Press F11 to get out of kiosk mode, F11 again to get back into it.

Ensure that your taskbar is always locked. how to lock it? Once you are at your desktop i assume you see the taskbar right? as you mentioned it only disapper as you open an IE browser. Ok now all you have to do is put your cursor on the taskbar right click and select locked the taskbar. if it showing a checked mark that simply means it is locked. if you cant find the taskbar try to drag your cursor up. it is possible that your taskbar is just hiding at the bottom of your screen. =)
