Well ! Its not actually a Chor Bazaar, you can say its a second hand Market, where you can haggle a lot, to have a thing at real bargain price !!

They call it as a Bhangaar or Kabaadi Bazar !

This Market is operable on saturday on the road from Santara Market to the Shukravari Talab. Part of the Main Road from Cotton Market to Railway Over Bridge used to be there.

I was one of the regular visitors to this Market when I was in Nagpur since1973, I left Nagpur in 1990. From this market I could gather good old 78RPM records, Nice Gramaphones , Old Copper Coins and Stamps. You need to develop the contacts with the shop owners in order to get some quality stuff at fairly reasonable rates !

Few years back once I managed to visit this market on one of the saturdys. I felt that the charm and rustic ambience had lost from the market, the market is more or less like a typical roadside markets in India. Nothing curious could be seen there !

Well, if you have time and interested in Antiques these Chor Bazaars are good sources to get them there! Beware ! These shopkeeprs are fairly informed about stamps and coins and they can ditch you by giving you a counterfiet one at a lower rate !

I heard that this Bazzar is shifted to Itwari some where near Amardeep Theatre on Sundays !! Try there ! All the Best !

Thanks man ...for few minutes I was practically roaming In Nagpur...Thanks for the invoking my nostalgic feelings !

I'm agree with Sami, in every city there is a version. Actually these should not be called Chor Bazaar coz usually things sold there are collected from the KABADI's only, who collect these things from there door to door hawkers. things in good or working condition are sold there. And for Mumbai... a lot of such bazaar u may find there.
