Start keeping track of the time of day when it happens. If its at the same time, its more likely to be baby movements. With all my pregnancies the baby liked certain times of the day to get extra wiggly. Eventually you'll get far enough along that it will be very obvious.

When you first begin to feel movement, usually between 16-22 weeks, you are not able to differentiate between gas and baby movement. They are both very similar. Early baby movements can also feel like a tapping or a fluttering or be mistaken for a hungry tummy. As the baby grows, you will become more practiced at telling the difference and the movements of the baby will become very obvious.

IN the beginning, mine felt like a twitch on my stomach. Like a little heartbeat. Of course, it was NOT the heartbeat! (Although I DID just see on National Geographic's show "In The Womb" that towards the end of the pregnancy someone CAN hear the heartbeat just by putting their ear up against the right part of the stomach...). Anyway, I agree with what the other's said...before you know it (a few weeks at the most) you will feel DEFINATE movements. Like your whole stomach will bulge out where the foot is and then go back in. One of my favorite things to do is to push down on her butt (the only body part I can correctly identify every time) and then wait for her to bounce back and get moving around. ALSO, I was told by my doctor that drinking apple or grape juice gets em moving more. Cause the sugar gets em all hyped up I guess...and when my friend was in labor the baby wasn't moving enough to really get teh contractions going so the nurses had her drink a big glass of apple juice to get her son moving. So apparently it works. I ate a lot of apple sauce cause then I KNEW it was her moving. Good luck!
