In addition to deleting unused and unwanted programs you'll also want to delete daily all cookies and temporary files, and perform once a week Disk Cleanup, and Disk Defragment the C drive.
You can manually delete cookies and temp files from the Tools menu of your browser (depending upon which one you use). You should find them under Tools > (Internet or Browser) Options > then click on a tab until you find the Delete Cookies, etc. command/buttons. Alternatively, you can safely and freely download a program I use do it for you from here:
http://www.ccleaner.com/
by clicking on "Download Ccleaner now..." and follow the installation procedures.
The last two take some time, and can be found here:
Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup (and when Cleanup is finished, Disk Defragmenter)
So, do all the deletions first, then Disk Cleanup, and finally Disk Defragmenter (if the computer says you should).

PLEASE do no longer do what LilAznBoigTR mentioned. Doing so will bypass away a lot of ineffective documents on your computing device and reason your registry to grow to be bloated with ineffective references. the 1st guy or woman who responded had it superb: bypass to regulate Panel, then click upload/eliminate classes and locate this gadget in the checklist (it might take a minute for all of them to be indexed). click at this gadget and choose Uninstall. this is the main suitable thank you to uninstall classes you no longer p.c..
