Not really, not if the question serves a point. Sometimes you can get someone to think on their own and realize something by asking them a question in response to the original question. Sometimes that's even more effective than spoon feeding them with an answer that won't get them to think.

considering the fact that you are posing a question to receive an answer, yes, i do believe it's inappropriate to pose a return question as an answer to a question.
this should be a reportable offense on this forum.
